HOFFMANN, Katalin
training
I finished my MA studies in psychology at the ELTE University in 2006. In 2009 I received my degree as a specialist in crisis-intervention and counseling psychologist from the same institution. Since 2001 I have been working in hospitals for patients with severe addictions. I participated in several research groups investigating the psycho-social background of drug-addiction; my scientific publications deal with the same problems. After a however small but significant excursion to the field of sport psychology I returned to addictology and life-coaching.
For a short period I worked only with individual consulting but since I experienced the positive effects that a group offers to the individual, group-counseling has become my main profile: I hold trainings for groups aiming to increase self-knowledge and developing capacities.
Whatever field I work in, let it be low-threashold services or training to resolve conflicts, my principle is that the objective of any good therapist should be to make himself/herself unnecessary as soon as possible.
